Pastoral Care

Kidz Next Door School is a Christian School with an Anglican background with the main aim of promoting good morals and social values as well as quality education, spiritual nurturing and character building. The school places great emphasis on the school choir and hymn hour as these activities identify us with the Cathedral.

Emphasis is also placed on regular interpersonal communication with parents, with communication via the School Diaries, Parents- Teachers’ Consultation Meetings, Newsletters, Telephone and E-mail.

Health & Safety

To avoid spreading infections, parents please help us by keeping your child at home when sick or on medication. In the event of an accident, trained First Aiders will treat small injuries. Should there be need for further treatment, your child will be taken to the nearest health facility (every child is covered by Pacis Insurance Company).

A member of staff will be on duty from 7.30am to 4.00pm. If on occasion you have to pick or drop your child outside school hours, arrangements must be made with the office otherwise we cannot be responsible for your child.

Please ensure that all your child’s belongings are clearly marked with your child’s name.

Nutrition & Growth

The above two words work together!

Since we all understand the importance of healthy eating, especially for the young and tender children growing up fast through the early years. At Kidz Next Door School, we provide a nutritious, well-balanced lunch, freshly cooked within the premises for all the children. We also serve snacks and drinks during mid-morning and afternoon breaks. Children are encouraged to say a simple prayer/grace together before they eat.

Early ICT Skills

We offer computer classes as recommended in the new curriculum and the children have access to computers & internet for specific teacher led and supervised activities. In the early years this significantly enhances their multisensory approach towards a rewarding level of achievement in early reading, early writing and early numeracy skills.

Where to find us

The school is situated in Makadara - Athi River, Mavoko Municipality in Machakos County.
